The Royal Berkshire Medical Museum is part of the Berkshire Medical Heritage Centre which was founded in 1997.

Our aim is to preserve and display items of historical medical interest particularly those with a local connection.

Basildon Park, a Georgian mansion surrounded by parkland, was lovingly rescued by Lord and Lady Iliffe in the mid 1950s. The house you see today is a re-creation and restoration of the 18th-century mansion. They restored the elegant interior and scoured the country salvaging 18th-century architectural fixtures and fittings.

At Outdoor Academy we pride ourselves on our affiliation with young people. Our principal focus lies with youths whose behavioural problems have left them excluded from mainstream education, or those with learning difficulties.

The famous rowing town of Henley on Thames is home to the River and Rowing museum which has a gallery dedicated to the sport of rowing - as well as further exhibition areas for the River Thames and the town of Henley.

A delightful series of walled gardens surrounds the charming 18th-century house.

The garden has many original features including a grand water staircase, created by Marylyn Abbott, providing the focal point to the Nymphaeum fountain designed by Quinlan Terry.

Racing and River Boat Museum is a great place for kids who are interested in boats and for families who would like a relaxing but interesting day out.

The Chase is a small property of 143 acres of woodland near the village of Woolton Hill, close to the Hampshire/Berkshire border, which supports a wide community of walkers and regular visitors through schools and naturalist groups.

The land was bought by Sir Kenneth Swan in 1930 and the site soon transformed into the nature reserve that stands today.
