Wicksteed Park

Wicksteed Park

147 acres of lakes, parklands, over 35 rides and attractions including Rocky River Falls, our famous Waterchute, Train, Double Pirate ship and largest free playground in the UK offering a perfect day out for young and old.

  • The location of one of the first water based rides in the world? The Waterchute!
  • The home of the busiest narrow gauge railway in the UK?
  • The home of one of the only 2 double Pirate ships in the world!
  • The location of one of the largest, well maintained free playgrounds in the UK?

You can camp here too and we have a huge Sunday Car Boot Sale!

The Park has three distinct ride areas suitable for families, a railway and a family orientated Amusement Arcade.

The Fairground attracts our younger visitors including a traditional carousel, double pirate ship, jumping tower and unique 'Rockin tug'. The Arcade is in this area.

The Arena offers Rocky River Falls, racing cars, paratrooper and roller coasters.

#RUSH

Rush iconFancy flying across the park at 40 mph? Then experience our new adventure experience #RUSH , challenge yourself and get a real buzz. Experiences include a giant zip wire, a climbing wall and the terrifying ‘Leap of Faith’. Please bring sensible clothes and footwear. It’s an ideal group activity and we cater for some disabilities. Height and weight restrictions apply.

Lakeside Activities

Our restored lake includes many new features that are well worth finding. We have a new shingle beach, a 90m pontoon and soon will have a ferry to lazily travel around the lake. To celebrate the opening of the lake we have got some fabulous new rowing boats that have a double set of oars.

Wax Hands

Create a unique and lasting souvenir of your visit with a wax model of your hand – it is quick and easy to make and you can personalise in many ways. It is also an ideal activity for birthday parties.
