Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national award combining the essential elements of provision – learning and safety – into ONE easily recognisable and trusted accreditation scheme for ALL types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisation. The LOtC Site Provider Award

The LOtC Site Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations which actively welcome schools onto their sites and ensure that those sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools. The LOtC Mark is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises and supports the development of Learning Outside the Classroom across all subject areas. Comprising of three levels, the LOtC Mark is intended not only to recognise existing exemplary provision, but also to assist and support schools in developing their LOtC offer. We started off in 2005 with an overgrown field with lots of brambles, black thorn and docks… Back then we had a vision that we could support some of the most disadvantaged people through transforming the site into a vibrant and innovative demonstration of sustainable land use.

Marrick Priory is a historic 12th century medieval building that was developed in the 1970s into an Outdoor Education and Residential Centre.  It is situated in Swaledale in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and welcomes groups of visitors from all over the world.

Kernow Coasteering is the UK's most westerly coasteering centre offering coasteering around Penzance and St. Ives. located on the Lands End peninsula in the far west of Cornwall, we're only a short drive from numerous awesome locations for coasteering where you can experience towering cliffs, caves and jumps.

Growing up in St Davids, we've been swimming, surfing, and generally looking for fun and adventure on this coastline for decades. Ma Simes Surf School, established in 2001, is the oldest dedicated surf school in the area, with many thousands of surfers having passed through our Whitesands classes.

British schoolgirl assaulted on school trip to Iceland

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
