Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national award combining the essential elements of provision – learning and safety – into ONE easily recognisable and trusted accreditation scheme for ALL types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisation. The LOtC Site Provider Award

The LOtC Site Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations which actively welcome schools onto their sites and ensure that those sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools. The LOtC Resource Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations that provide products and services which genuinely assist teachers in delivering LOtC, and work with users to ensure that this is the case. For Schools

The LOtC Mark is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises and supports the development of Learning Outside the Classroom across all subject areas. Comprising of three levels, the LOtC Mark is intended not only to recognise existing exemplary provision, but also to assist and support schools in developing their LOtC offer. Low Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed in 2001 to set up, manage and promote environmental projects. Our main objective is tackling climate change through highlighting the connection between buildings, energy use and carbon emissions. 

Adventure Unlimited works with over 6,000 children and young people and 100 volunteers each year. Our projects are designed to overcome barriers to access for children and young people who have special needs or behavioural issues, are living on a low income, or who are isolated by location or circumstance.

We are an exciting on-demand white water facility located in the heart of the International Sports Village in Cardiff.

ISSA is developing its world-wide support network for sailing and windsurfing schools and instructors.

Founded in 1937, The Brixham Yacht Club is recognised as one of the premier clubs on the South coast of England, as it continues to grow in both membership and stature.

The Club is situated in Exmouth, close to the marina/harbour at the mouth of the beautiful Exe estuary and is the largest sailing club on the Exe. The Club encourages all forms of sailing. It is possible to sail from the club at all states of the tide, although skill is required to cope with fast flowing tides which occur at certain times in the mouth of the estuary.

Indie Outdoors aims to provide a 'real' outdoor experience for young people and adults using experienced and well qualified staff. We believe that outdoor activities can be a transformative and empowering experience at all ages but that this is best achieved through a mutual respect and understanding between instructor and participant.

The charity started life as North Devon Volunteers and changed its name to Community Action North Devon in 1987 and again in 2012 to Community Action South West to reflect our delivery across various parts of the county during the past five year

Plymouth and Devon Schools Sailing Association is a not for profit volunteer organisation. We take pride in offering outstanding sailing, kayaking and powerboat courses at very reasonable prices! Based at Commercial Wharf on the Barbican, we have a wide range of training equipment and Plymouth Sound provides a great teaching environment for all levels of tuition.

From the start of the 2015 season, Welsh Water will run the water sports tuition and equipment hire service, formerly known as Gwent Adventures, from the new Water Sports Centre. Terry Sculley owner and founder of Gwent Adventures is retiring and Welsh Water has bought Gwent Adventures’ equipment and name.

Schoolboy Falls From 60ft Cliff on School Trip

A 15-year-old boy fell 60ft over the edge of a cliff whilst on a geography school trip, miraculously only suffering minor injuries.
