Free Event: Creativity Beyond the Classroom

On Saturday 6th May, Ingestre Hall Residential Arts Centre in Staffordshire is holding an exclusive free event for all teachers considering a residential programme. The event will provide the opportunity to:

  • Find out how a residential arts experience can help young people thrive in the classroom;
  • Discover a fresh approach and network with like-minded professionals;
  • Explore the benefits of an arts residential programme for students, schools and teachers; and
  • Share ways to embed creative learning back in the classroom.

Ingestre Arts provides residential arts education courses for primaries, secondaries, specialist arts colleges and youth and adult groups. They offer bespoke arts based courses consisting of Music, Drama, Dance, Visual Art, Radio, Animation and Film Making. Their courses can be designed as curriciulum enhancement, enrichment weeks or to produce GCSE coursework and Ingestre will create an arts programme designed for your specific needs.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
