Grab an RSPB Pack to Encourage Wildlife

Create a mini-pond or branch out and build a log pile to encourage bugs!

The Royal Society for the Protection of BIrds' (RSPB) new '20 Ways to Give Nature a Home' project is full of ideas

You don't need green fingers to make your school's garden or grounds more wildlife-friendly. The RSPB will send you a free guide with 20 easy ways to give nature a home.

No matter what size your space is, what type of school you are or what age your students are, the RSPB initiative focusses on how important nature is. Whether you have a few flowerpots, a balcony or a vast Forest School space, there are activities and ideas to suit you. What will you try first?

The RSPB wants to inspire everyone to give nature a home. If every school can do a little bit, we can achieve amazing things, especially in terms of keeping species from becoming extinct. The official facts are in: 60 per cent of UK wildlife species monitored for the State of Nature report have declined over the last 50 years. The RSPB has identified 44 'priority bird species' to focus on, tackling the issues raised in the report.

Your pack explains how you can help and includes fun activities for all ages of students. And you can download a copy in Welsh for schools in Wales.
