School Ski Trip Cancelled Last Minute

Halsbury Travel Group have made multiple clerical errors for bookings made for ski trips this month, leading to last minute cancellations. Pupils from St Bernadette Catholic Secondary School in South Bristol were left devastated after their school ski trip to Italy had to be cancelled 24 hours before they were due to leave after the travel company failed to book a bus.

Pupils were in tears as the trip was cancelled on the 31st March when they were scheduled to leave on the 1st April. No replacement bus was available for them due to the high demand of the school holiday season.

In a letter sent out to parents, the travel company said the booking was incorrectly marked as confirmed and due to personnel changes, this was looked over.

A school ski trip to Italy by pupils at Chulmleigh College in Devon was also called off a day before they were scheduled to leave because of the same travel company. They were similarly experiencing a problem with the booking of the coaches and the trip had to be cancelled.

Halsbury confirmed that all customers received a 100% refund and additional compensation.
