This year saw the national and international celebrations around the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, from parties to televised performances, parades to intense literary debates. Shakespeare was of course noted as a genius from an early age, with his contempories praising his flair for language and his unique style. Kingswood, part of the Inspiring Learning group, are on the lookout for another little Shakespeare as part of their creative writing competition.
Students aged seven to 11 years old are invited to submit a 500 word piece on their best summer ever. It could recount a unique holiday or a once in a lifetime experience. Whatever inspires their story Kingswood want to hear about it.
The lucky winner will be spending part of his summer with three friends at one of Kingswood’s adventure holiday camps. In addition they will win a free weekend long trip for their whole class to a Kingswood outdoor education centre!
Kingswood provide ‘educationally rich activity centre breaks for schools and groups.’ Drawing on their wealth of experience this recognised specialist organisation consists of many partners who are all experts in their field. Their schemes provide a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities which meet curriculum standards.
