Teenage Boy Spiked with Viagra by Fellow Pupil During School Trip

A 15-year-old boy was spiked with Viagra by another pupil while on a class trip to Berlin, Germany. The 16-year-old who was responsible received a two-day suspension, but the father of the victim has criticised this as an inadequate punishment for what is a criminal offence.

The pupils, who attend the Etonbury Academy in Arlesey, Bedfordshire, were amongst 80 students and 10 teachers in Berlin for a history trip to learn about the Holocaust and the Cold War. The 15-year-old’s father stated that the two boys were not friends and that “He did it to be nasty and advertised it on Snapchat as well”.

Viagra can have very dangerous consequences for men with severe heart of blood vessel issues. The victim’s father commented: “Spiking somebody’s drink is appalling. He doesn’t know my son’s medical history. He could have had heart problems.”

Spiking a drink with any drug is illegal, whether or not an attack or assault has been carried out and can result in a maximum punishment of ten years in prison. It is unclear how the 16-year-old obtained the drug, as it is not available to under 18s.
