Releasing Potential is a charity, based in Havant, which has been delivering outdoor education since 2001. We began by providing activities in schools to help marginalised young people develop social, emotional and practical skills.

At Key Stage 3 (KS3) the History curriculum includes a large span of British and world history, and there are few schools that are more than a couple of hours from a venue that will enhance pupils’ historical study. Local religious centres and town halls will be a good start for the study of ‘church, state and society in Britain’, but we would encourage schools to look at the Houses of Parliament and the Welsh Assembly as candidates for possible visits - both of whom offer tailored services to schools.
Visits to the foreign 1914-18 WWI sites are firm school favourites already, and are likely to be doubly popular in the next four years. Many schools combine the history element with some linguistic extras to develop pupils’ ability to ‘speak coherently and confidently, with increasingly accurate pronunciation and intonation.’
In regards to drama and music, many pupils will have been to plays and musicals before the age of 11, but KS3 theatre visits will encourage interest in the subjects and develop the national requirement for ‘a deepening understanding of the music that they perform and to which they listen, and its history.’
The KS3 curriculum requires schools to develop pupils’ adventurous spirits, using group activities to encourage pupils to ‘take part in outdoor and adventurous activities which present intellectual and physical challenges.’ Many national providers specialise in this area, providing imaginative activities for all kinds of age and ability groups, with a large number tailoring activities for those with special educational needs and disabled pupils.

We have a small team of highly qualified and experienced coaches, giving you quality sea kayak instruction on the stunning south Devon coast. We provide guided sea kayak trips and skills courses for all ages and abilities.
Radical Services provide fun, educational and stimulating care to young people, in small family style homes. We help them to reach their full potential, with a team of well trained staff, who care and believe that the young person’s voice should be central to the way they work.
Opened in 1865 the Watercress Line connected rural Hampshire to the heart fo London by rail. It got its name from the fresh produce it carried to the city making the movement of fresh produce in bulk a realistic possibility allowing urbanisation and fuelling the Industrial Revolution.

The company was formed to allow the expedition programme organised by Jason Buckley, an teacher at Sutton Grammar School, to continue after he left the school. Three members of the instructor team are old boys of the school who have come through the expedition programme, which has expanded to include 230 boys this year.
The Walrus Cruise is a Christian voluntary organisation which provides sailing holidays for boys and girls from the ages of 13 to 18. It also provides further development for people aged 18 to 21. It started in 1924 and today operates on the inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads and the coastal waters of the Western Isles of Scotland.
