Located on the fringes of Cannock Chase, the estate is set in 900 acres of stunning parkland and riverside gardens with an elegant mansion house, working Victorian servants’ quarters, Georgian farm & mill and restored walled garden, all brought to life by costumed living history characters who share their lives and powerful stories from the past with visitors.

Saltram stands high above the River Plym in a rolling and wooded landscaped park that now provides precious green space on the outskirts of Plymouth. The House with its magnificent decoration and original contents was largely created between the 1740’s and 1820’s by three generations of the Parker family.

Highlights include Robert Adam’s neo-classical Saloon, exquisite plasterwork ceilings, original Chinese wallpapers and an exceptional collection of paintings including many by Sir Joshua Reynolds and Angelica Kauffman.
