Zoos / Wildlife Parks

Zoos / Wildlife Parks

What are they and what do they involve?

Zoos and wildlife parks are venues based around animal encounters! Establishments such as these focus on educating their visitors on the wildlife they look after, and sometimes offer one on one interactions with certain animals. Often including exotic creatures from overseas, a zoo can be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and learn about animals you’ve never encountered, and wildlife parks are great ways of seeing nature mostly untouched by man.

What are the benefits?

Trips to zoos and wildlife parks are great ways of educating students about the world in general and the different animals and environments out there, and are excellent methods of promoting awareness of animal and wildlife conversation.

What students is it suitable for?

Zoos and wildlife are great for students of all ages and interests!

Costs?

Admission costs for zoos are often between £10-£20 per person, but school groups may get some discounts!

Safety Implications?

If the opportunity arises for up close animal encounters, it’s important that the students behave sensibly and in accordance with any instructions they receive; make sure you have discussed this with your group before and visits!
