Mike Lloyd-Wood - Centre Manager and Principal Guide of M. W. Guiding Services, Mike has over 35 years experience of mountaineering in the British Isles, French and Swiss Alps and high altitude trekking in the Himalayas. He has extensive knowledge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, which has built up over a long period working as a Warden in the area.

The Atlantic Outdoor Centre (AOC) is a unique outdoor activity centre dedicated to community service and hosted by a school, UWC Atlantic College. Every year this dynamic centre welcomes thousands of people onto campus, opening up the facilities of UWC Atlantic College to disadvantaged young people and the general public who participate in a wide range of learning and sporting activities.

Largest castle in Wales, well preserved & interpreted, exhibitions, film show, interactive table. We also provide Medieaval Treasure Chest handling and self-led activity packs on Castles, English and Science, Technology and Mathematics.

Penydarren was the site where the World's first Steam Engine ran on rails. Designed by Richard Trevithick, in 1804 his steam locomotive hauled a train along the tramway of the Penydarren Ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil.

The Storey Arms is Cardiff's outdoor education centre. We offer activities and courses to people living in Cardiff and to visitors from the UK and abroad.

Most of our programmes are for young people from 9 to 18 years old. We also work with teachers and those working in higher education so that they can gain qualifications and develop skills to deliver outdoor activities.

Chapter Arts Centre houses contemporary art in Canton, just a few minutes from Cardiff city centre. A former school, the building now features a 60ft light box which spans the whole frontage of the building - a living canvas to showcase Welsh artists' work. Equipped with cinemas, gallery space, restaurant and bar, Chapter is now one of Europe's leading arts centres.
