Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national award combining the essential elements of provision – learning and safety – into ONE easily recognisable and trusted accreditation scheme for ALL types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisation. The LOtC Site Provider Award

The LOtC Site Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations which actively welcome schools onto their sites and ensure that those sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools. The LOtC Resource Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations that provide products and services which genuinely assist teachers in delivering LOtC, and work with users to ensure that this is the case. For Schools

The LOtC Mark is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises and supports the development of Learning Outside the Classroom across all subject areas. Comprising of three levels, the LOtC Mark is intended not only to recognise existing exemplary provision, but also to assist and support schools in developing their LOtC offer. Prince's Trust centres currently offer the Fairbeidge programme, which is an individually tailored personal development programme combining one-to-one support and group activities.

Originally Fairbridge West Midlands, we've been supporting young people since 2000. In 2011 we became part of The Prince's Trust.

Our instructors have been providing adventurous outdoor activities since 1992. Offering training and technical support to the outdoor industry, the activities we offer are run under National Government Body Guidelines and certified by the relevant Organisations.

A specialist in outdoor activities, Pro Active Adventure has been delivering high quality outdoor adventure holidays since 2000. We are recognised leaders in Outdoor Education, Activity Holidays, Adrenaline Adventure Activities and MIAS mountain bike instructor courses.

Our Aim is to educate and to provide memorable and challenging experiences, to all age groups, no matter what their level of ability and fitness.

The Oxford & District School Sailing Association (ODSSA) offers sail training to individual young people, schools and youth groups within Oxfordshire at Farmoor Reservoir.

The Caldecotte Xperience offers a variety of exciting adventure activities and learning experiences for young people and adults, from 8 to 80. Activities include: sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, rowing, climbing, high ropes, caving, archery, fencing, bushcraft and many exciting team building activities. 

Brogborough Lake is in the heart of the UK sitting between Milton Keynes and Bedford, bringing watersports to the most land locked locations. When the wind is up, the 220 acres is dedicated to windsurfers, making it one of the largest boat free waters in England. 

Outlook Adventures offer a wide range of outdoor education and activities provided by real experts. Whether you are looking for a corporate team building event, a youth group or an exciting fun day out for a group of friends, we can tailor a programme to suit your needs.

Why not try a Camping Adventure, paddle to a secret location and live in your very own tipi, learning firelighting and foraging skills or try out one of our Introduction to Sea Kayaking Courses, where you can learn a new skill as a group, and have fun fun fun, it is suitable for young and old so everyone can get involved!

Paddlepower and Adventure provides kayak and canoe trips, training courses, and a great deal more besides in the beautiful surroundings of Scotland's West Coast, just north of Glasgow. There's something for everyone. A friendly approach is guaranteed, but at the same time be assured that your best interest, and most importantly, safety, are paramount. 

Launched in June 1997, Alba Adventures has grown from a one-man operation to a highly successful outdoor adventure business. Managing Director, John Johnston, started the company after being made redundant.

Scotland remains a key area for The Trust and as such, bursary support will still be available to all eligible clients. We are committed to the Leadership for Life project in the long term with 18 groups each year for the next two years. 

WCA is a family run outdoor activity company. We pride ourselves in making outdoor activities accessible to people of diverse ages, aims and interests. 

Abernethy Ardeonaig is in the heart of rural Perthshire on the south side of Loch Tay with fantastic views across the water. Less than 2 hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow, the centre is in easy reach for a weekend away.

Loch Ranza, on the Isle of Arran  is PGL’s specialist Field Studies centre, catering for a wide range of courses. Ardrossan Harbour, is less than 1 hour by rail from Glasgow and the ferry crossing to Brodick takes approximately 55 minutes. Exciting outdoor activities are also available.

Adventure Northumberland provides a great choice of land and water based outdoor adventure activities.

Situated in Central Scotland only 20 minutes from Glasgow, Auchengillan is the ideal choice for your group accommodation. We can host upto 128 indoors or why not camp in amongst our 120 acres of mixed woodlands and grounds.

We provide a full range of outdoor activities to suit all ages and interests. Based on idyllic Loch Ard, within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park activities include gorgewalking, our unique waterpark, canoeing, climbing/abseiling, cliff jumping, archery, mountain biking, orienteering and many more.

Since we started C-N-Do Scotland in 1984, thousands of walkers have experienced something special on our range of independent walking holiday and guided holiday and guided walking holidays in Scotland.

British schoolgirl assaulted on school trip to Iceland

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
