Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national award combining the essential elements of provision – learning and safety – into ONE easily recognisable and trusted accreditation scheme for ALL types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisation. The LOtC Site Provider Award

The LOtC Site Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations which actively welcome schools onto their sites and ensure that those sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools. The LOtC Resource Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations that provide products and services which genuinely assist teachers in delivering LOtC, and work with users to ensure that this is the case. The LOtC Mark is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises and supports the development of Learning Outside the Classroom across all subject areas. Comprising of three levels, the LOtC Mark is intended not only to recognise existing exemplary provision, but also to assist and support schools in developing their LOtC offer. Attenborough Nature Centre is an award-winning education centre and visitor attraction located at Attenborough Nature Reserve, a nationally important wildlife site close to Nottingham and Derby.

Set in 33 acres of beautiful woodland with some stunning views of the surrounding countryside, Dartmoor Zoological Park is a unique family owned zoo with a fantastic collection of animals.

In a beautiful valley of the river Frome, on the border between Wiltshire and Somerset and only nine miles from Bath, stands the remains of Farleigh Hungerford Castle.

Started in the 14th century, it still has much for visitors to enjoy and provides a great day out for families to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside.

For a long time West Wittering beach has been a favourite amongst windsurfers and kitesurfers. The unspoilt, rural bliss of the surrounding area easily earns the place its reputation as one of the best beaches in the UK. It’s amazing really that you can find such a place just over an hour’s drive from London.

It’s a fantastic forested site overlooking the River Tay, at the heart of Perthshire’s ‘Big Tree Country’. As well as all the usual exciting PGL multi activities, this is our only centre with the Sequoia Scramble (a vertical challenge suspended between 2 Sequoia trees) and the catwalk, which tests your balance high above the ground!
