Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national award combining the essential elements of provision – learning and safety – into ONE easily recognisable and trusted accreditation scheme for ALL types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisation. The LOtC Site Provider Award

The LOtC Site Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations which actively welcome schools onto their sites and ensure that those sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools. The LOtC Resource Provider Award is intended to recognise those organisations that provide products and services which genuinely assist teachers in delivering LOtC, and work with users to ensure that this is the case. The LOtC Mark is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises and supports the development of Learning Outside the Classroom across all subject areas. Comprising of three levels, the LOtC Mark is intended not only to recognise existing exemplary provision, but also to assist and support schools in developing their LOtC offer. Olton Mere Sailing Club offers sailing, walking and fishing in the heart of Solihull. Olton Mere has provided a protected natural haven for wildlife and plants for over two centuries.

We are a friendly watersports centre based in the new facilities at Porth Eirias.

Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre is located in 65 acres of land in the heart of the New Forest, offering outdoor education through an extensive range of adventure and field study activities.

Every year BF Adventure, formerly known as Bishop’s Forum, helps hundreds of disadvantaged and disabled children and adults in Cornwall to believe in themselves and gain the skills and accreditations to succeed at school or to find employment.

The East Anglian Sailing Trust (EAST), provides disabled East Anglians and their carers with regular opportunities to access and enjoy sailing activities whilst promoting enhanced independence, confidence and community involvement.

Pooles Wharf, Hotwells Road, Bristol. Opened July 2000 to provide water sports and activities for young people, provides accessible facilities to include disabled young people. Sailing, Canoeing, Caving, Abseiling, and Mountain biking.

The Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and socially disadvantaged people excitement, freedom, adventure and provide wheelchair access on the Norfolk Broads. Established in 1984 we are the only facility of our kind in East Anglia, providing a wide range of activities and opportunities for our visitors.

Our aim is to help disadvantaged and disabled children from the inner city communities of Plymouth and the surrounding areas within the PL postcodes.

Plas Pencelli is large outdoor centre located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales.

East Anglian Sea School has set the standard for training excellence on the East Coast for 41 years. We are based on the East Coast of the UK at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, Levington, on the River Orwell, half way between Ipswich and Felixstowe.

Neptune Sailing has been part of Suffolk Water Sports Association and is a Recognised Training Centre for the RYA. It has been working with Neptune Youth Group and those keen to learn to sail in the local community for many years. The Centre has been divested from SWSA to Neptune Sailing Management Committee. It has been awarded charitable status.

We offer training courses for all ages in sailing and windsurfing . We also provide powerboat and first aid training for adults and discounted powerboat training for 16-21 year olds.

Exportise teaches a variety of sports to children of all levels using the latest coaching techniques. Our resident coaches and representatives are there to make sure that every child goes home with a sense of achievement, fun memories, a group of new friends and the desire to return. We aim to provide a friendly, personal service throughout your holiday.

British schoolgirl assaulted on school trip to Iceland

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
