Missing “Vulnerable” Student Found Safe and Well After Frantic School Trip Search

Damian De Oliveira, 13, was on a school trip to Moors Valley Country Park near Ashley Heath, Dorset, when he disappeared at around 3.30pm on June 11th.
An alarm was raised when Damian, wearing orange ear defenders, a blue waterproof jacket, dark jogging bottoms and light blue lace up shoes with white soles had become separated from the rest of the group.
Officers searched the 1,000-acre wooded park and enlisted the help of countryside wardens as well as a police helicopter.
School trip ends early following reports of suspicious intruder

A group of students from a Cheshire primary school, left their residential visit to the Conway Outdoor Education Centre, on Anglesey earlier than expected, due to the sighting of a suspicious intruder.
During the afternoon of May 7th, the students from Gorsey Bank Primary School reported seeing an intruder, lurking by the centre and the North Wales Police were asked to investigate the incident.
Music Teacher Runs Two Marathons in One Day to raise Money for School Trip.

Andrew Taylor, a 27 year old Music teacher from Dundee, ran more than 26 miles from his home, to Brechin High School in Angus, Scotland, spent the day helping his students with their exam preparations and then ran home again.
The commute wasn’t just an extreme, keep fit exercise – it was to help fund a school trip that will teach pupils about the Rwandan genocide. The school is hoping to raise £16,000 to send 10 pupils to the country in central Africa.

When a class of primary school students sat down for an exam paper, they had no idea what would happen next…
The year 6 class of St Andrews School in Nuthurst, West Sussex had spent all week taking their SATS exams and they thought that this was just another test. When they turned the paper over however, rather than seeing the science test they had been promised, they read that they were to spend the rest of the day at Chessington World of Adventures. The “exam” finished with the command, “Let’s go on some rollercoasters!”
Chester Zoo to Give Thousands of Free Tickets to School Groups

Chester Zoo is offering free tickets for more than 42,000 children, in a bid to get young people involved in conservation. Free places are available for pupils from reception age to year 13, for weekday visits between 1 November 2019 to 28 February 2020, during the Cheshire West and Chester region term time.
The tickets are offered as part of the Zoo’s annual education campaign to raise awareness of endangered species and to get young people interested in all aspects of conservation.
