Motorsports

What are they and what do they involve?

Motorsports are recreational activities based around using motorised equipment! You can use things such as bikes and gokarts in motorsports, and there are often opportunities to compete with others around circuits in both lap times and how well you operate the equipment.

What are the benefits?

Using motorised equipment in sports can make for a really exciting activity! Motorsports are great for improving self-control and confidence in operating equipment, and can be a huge boost for a student who masters the skills and techniques required.

What students is it suitable for?

Motorsports are generally more suitable for older students as they require a certain degree of control and strength that younger pupils may not have; however, a lot of venues have special equipment designed for smaller children, so make sure to check beforehand to see what they’re set up for.

Costs?

Participating in motorsports will always have costs, but school groups should be able to get some discount and it’s rare for the price to excel £20 per child!

Safety Implications?

As with any activity involving machinery and speeds, it’s important that the participants are prepared to follow any safety instructions they are given and obey the rules; you should be sure your student group is capable of behaving properly if taking them to a motorsports venue.
