The north of Scotland offers some of the most stunning landscapes from the crystal clear lochs, the mountains and glens to the scattering of picturesque islands. The area can offer you none stop adventure from mountaineering to skiing you can even take part is some of the more traditional activities including angling or if you’re feeling really adventurous the Highland Games.

The Flow Country

Covering about 4,000 km2 (1500 miles2), the Flow Country considered to be the largest area of blanket bog in the world. Together with associated areas of heath and open water it is of international importance as a habitat and for the diverse range of rare and unusual breeding birds it supports in Caithness and Sutherland in Scotland. Of particular importance are the birds, many of which are typically northern species found here towards the southern limit of their range. These include red-throated diver, black-throated diver, golden plover, greenshank, golden eagle, merlin and short-eared owl.

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
