Glo-Ed was created in 2017 by senior management from the educational travel industries & senior teachers from school, who shared a passion for education beyond the classroom, personal service and social responsibility.

Economics courses cover such topics as macro- and micro-economics, economic theory, how the economy works, how markets work, and financial affairs.
Business Studies courses include more specific topics, such as setting up a business, business operations, marketing, finance and tax, people in business, monitoring progress.
Economics and Business Studies courses aim to develop students' ability to investigate, and to select and apply their knowledge and understanding of concepts, and then to communicate in an effective way, using charts and diagrams as well as words.
Contact with local businesses will be a boon but these can be enhanced with visits to important institutions – like Parliament, the Bank of England, and the Stock Exchange. Often these institutions have museums, give guided tours and offer workshops. Contact their Education Departments for more information (contact details to be found in their respective SchoolTripsAdvisor listings).
Many schools encourage groups to attend local council meetings, political meetings, while some actually organise the visits to combine listening to speakers with behind-the-scenes experiences.

A Mill is recorded in the Doomsday Book of 1086 on the site of the The Old Mill. In the 14th Century it had begun to be known as Slaughter Mill and by the 18th Century had become independent of the manorial estate.
Two hundred years of energy
The National Gas Museum displays historic objects collected by Britain’s nationalised gas industry, mostly in the 1960s and 1970s. We have around 4,000 objects drawn from several former regions of British Gas and donated by individuals.
The Fashion and Textile Museum is a cutting edge centre for contemporary fashion, textiles and jewellery in London. Founded by iconic British designer Zandra Rhodes, the centre showcases a programme of changing exhibitions exploring elements of fashion, textile and jewellery as well as the Academy which runs courses for creative students and businesses.
Opened in 1876 as a storage unit for household silver, jewellery, and documents, it became the main spot for silver dealers in London in the early 20th century. Still the biggest silver store in the world, it attracts a lot of tourists. And no wonder! The views are spectacular.

We have over 6,700 teapots on display in our exhibition that is open to the public for a small charge and you can purchase a memento from our shop to take home with you to remind you of your day with us.
House of Marbles are makers & purveyors of a world famous range of glass marbles, board games, classic toys, puzzles, pastimes & decorative accessories for the home and garden. We have been designing, making and selling fun and entertaining products since 1973, when our founder began making board games in his workshop to sell at local craft fairs.

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.
Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.
The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
