The West of England is a historic area with plenty to explore. From the Roman Baths of the spa town of Bath to the Victorian docks of Gloucester and the industrial heritage of Bristol, including the SS Great Britain and the world's first suspension bridge built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Clifton Suspension Bridge (see above). The west is also an area where you can submerge yourself in culture from the art galleries of Bristol, the stately homes of this beautiful part of England and in the local history museums there is plenty to learn about.
