Truro

As the only city in Cornwall there is plenty packed into Truro's winding streets. The relatively modern Cathedral takes centre stage with the impressive gothic towers dominating the city skyline. There are also plenty of watersports clubs nearby and fantastic access to Cornwall's famous rugged coastline, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, the UK surfing capital of Newquay and of course Land's End itself. On top of that there's culture at the outdoor Minack theatre and the Tate Gallery in St Ives, the spectacle of St Micheal's Mount and the modern beauty and environmentally thought-provoking orbs of the Eden Project, where you can also soar like a bird over the entire site on a zip wire.
