Landscape: Mostly covered by a huge ice sheet in the centre of the island, with more mountainous and populated areas around the coast

Climate/Seasons: Chilly all year round but very cold in winter. Summer is warmer but still cold, as the ice and snow keep temperatures down.

When to Go: The summer months are the best time to visit Greenland  - June to August have the warmest temperatures and you can experience the phenomenon of the never setting sun!

How to Get There: There is only one airport that really caters for international travel in Greenland, but you can also access the island via boat - one of the most popular ways of getting around locally also!

Watch Out For: Some of the terrain can get quite treacherous, so make sure you're with somebody who knows the land and can give advice. 

Medical Issues: No vaccinations or boosters required, but check with your doctor if you are unsure! Low temperatures and high altitudes can pose risks, so make sure you are well informed upon how to be safe.
