Climate/Seasons: Hot/dry summer periods with moderately cold winters - higher mountainous areas more likely to have snow and shorter/colder summers.

When to Go: Summer has the nicest weather in Macedonia and will provide some stunning scenery, but the mild spring and autumn seasons can make for an excellent trip as well.

Reasons to Visit: Bordering countries such as Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Kosovo, Macedonia is central to a part of Europe filled with culture and history. The fun-filled capital alongside the relaxing countryside makes this a destination for those who want to experience a bit of everything!

How to Get There: While it is possible to access Macedonia from the ground, air travel is probably the best way to travel from the UK! There are two international airports in Skopje and Ohrid.

British schoolgirl assaulted on school trip to Iceland

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
