Asia

As Earth's largest and most heavily populated continent, Asia is host to about 60% of all the humans in the world. Russia and China have the two biggest land areas in the world, and the diversity of culture, environment, ethnicities and governments in this region is second to none. Asia is a great place to go to experience some drastically different cultures  to our own, and a great way to widen student's perceptions on just what such famous countries are all about. In the UK, the understanding we have of cultures in the Far East is reasonably limited to stereotypes, and to actually visit the real place, meet the people and experience the ways of life will be an eye-opening experience for anybody.

In a similar manner to the North and Central American continent, the weather in Asia changes as you move from the extreme northern areas down towards the Equator. Southern countries such as Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines all have fantastically warm climates and are great places to experience vibrant wildlife and see natural wonders such as dormant volcanoes or the peerless Himalayas by visiting India or Nepal. Travel to the north and into Russia or Japan and the popularity of snow sport there could make for a great school trip, while beaches in Thailand, the Goa region of India or in Sri Lanka or the Maldives can make for superb free time amidst a sports tour or cultural exchange.

There is a rich variety of culture and activities wherever you go in Asia, and you can pick and choose your destination to suit the intent of your trip.
