Wolverhampton

The name Wolverhampton derives from the city's historic links to wolves and the city’s most exciting attractions include the WAVE venues. The WAVE art gallery boasts permanent displays as well as regularly changing exhibitions. The other venues include craft centres, a museum and city archives.  

The history of the area can be studied by visiting its Stately Homes including Moseley Old Hall and Morville Hall, while its sporting heritage can be researched at the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC museum. A more unusual museum to visit is the Lock Museum.

Climbing takes place at the Wolf Mountain Museum with special lessons for younger climbers.

Phoenix Park

Adventure playground, sensory garden and fitness equipment are dotted about this picturesque freebie.

Among a host of new features and improvements carried out are the creation of a new main entrance, an adventure play area for 10 to 16 year olds, a sensory garden, new fitness equipment, pathways being built, enhanced signage and additional seating and bins installed.

Northycote Farm and Country Park

A Tudor farm, steeped in history, surrounded by a lovely park that is full of informal walks with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. 

The animals are always around to meet in the enclosures and include Norfolk Black Turkeys, pigs, Shropshire sheep, Hereford cattle, plus a number of chickens, guinea fowl, ducks and geese! 

Rays Farm Country Matters

A great place to bring the kids to meet our farmyard animals, follow the farmer as he feeds the deer and meet mythical creatures in Fairytale Forest. Older kids can lose energy in the outdoor play area, while toddlers play in the indoor playroom.

Lock Museum

The Locksmith's House is located in a Victorian lockmaker’s house and workshops, that are a typical example of many of the small business premises that occupied a great deal of Willenhall and the surrounding area. 

Moseley Old Hall
