The area around Kilmarnock, north of Glasgow, is one of rolling countryside, lochs, mountainous peaks and wild coastline.

Poet Robert Burns was born here and you can take students of English to visit the Burns Birthplace. The town of Ayr is the home of the Scottish Grand National and also boasts a wonderful Cathedral, which students of religion can enjoy.

The seaside town of Irvine plays host to the Scottish Maritime Museum, which boasts a range of Scotland’s rich maritime collection.

Kilmarnock is a lovely town with plenty of visitor attractions including the recently restored Dick Institute which combines a library, art gallery and museum. There are also country parks, theatres, monuments and sculptures for your students to explore, enjoy and learn from.
