Rock and River Outdoor Pursuits Ltd

Rock and River are Outdoor Pursuits specialists. We have been running adventurous outdoor activities since 1996.

Our main site is at Cliff's Farm Activity Centre on a 180 acre farm in Mawdesley, near Ormskirk. We also have a second, smaller site at Ashworth Valley, Rochdale. We run outdoor activities for schools, colleges, youth and corporate groups and scouts and guides.

Williamson's Tunnels Heritage Centre

In the early 19th century Joseph Williamson (1769-1840), a Liverpool businessman known as the Mole of Edge Hill, paid for a vast network of tunnels to be constructed, probably to provide employment for the poor of the area.

Crosby Beach

Situated just to the north of Liverpool, Crosby Beach is now the permanent home to ‘Another Place’, the sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist, Antony Gormley. The beach has been awarded the Quality Coast Award by Keep Britain Tidy. The QCA award tells visitors that the standards of beach management are of the highest quality in the UK.

British schoolgirl assaulted on school trip to Iceland

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
