The East of London has recently become an area bursting with exciting attractions for visitors. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park offers more than just tours, you can get involved in sports, arts, performance and one of the many exhibits, plus climb the ArcelorMittal Orbit. The Docklands Museum is nearby, as well as local city farms.

Hackney City Farm

Boasts a wide variety of animals on the farm including pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. Free to all.

Mudchute Park and Farm

Mudchute Park and Farm isone of the largest inner City Farms anywhere in Europe. 32 acres of countryside in the middle of the Isle of Dogs to share with friendly furry and feathered creatures. There is also an outdoor play area in Milwall Park which is adjacent.

They have a collection of British rare breeds and over 200 animals and fowl on their farm!

Brooks Farm

Following a £530,000 redevelopment, the Brooks Farm Outdoor Learning Centre re-opened to the public on the 12 August 2014.

Newham City Farm

Newham City Farm is one of London's longest established, as well as one of its largest city farms.

They are home to an extensive range of farmyard favourites and rare breeds – from a huge Shire Horse to tiny birds as well as cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, rabbits, fish, a peacock and even a harris hawk.

Stepney City Farm

A farm in the heart of the city!

Tucked away in London’s East End is a working farm, Rural Arts Centre and community meeting place. We give children and adults a chance to meet farm animals, learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts.

The Farm is free to all visitors and everyone is welcome!

Royal London Hospital Museum and Archives

The Royal London has a museum which is located in the crypt of a 19th-century church. It reopened in 2002 after extensive refurbishment and is open to the public free of charge.

Spitalfields City Farm

The Farmyard is at the centre of the Farm, and home to many much loved animals including great characters such as Bayleaf the Donkey & Bentley the Goat.
